Distance Learning and Education Director jobs in Florida

• being the liaison between the Advisory Board, PEP Board and Committees, Schools, Parents, and the Community.

The Site Director will be the onsite coordinator for the the PEP Board (Public Education Partnership) and the Learning Resource Center (LRC), and will:

Ensure that all students and staff are safe and that all staff are engaged with the students at all times. Maintain the building and delegate jobs as appropriate. Ensure staff are meeting their job descriptions and assist them in all ways to be successful. Coordinate with the PEP Executive Director and the Executive Director of the Learning Resource Center. This person will:

• Coordinate with PEP & LRC to train staff and plan out programming
• Coordinate with PEP & LRC to recruit students
• Maintain a positive and caring culture at the center
• Maintain positive communication with PEP, LRC, and all staff and volunteers
• Maintain an accurate staff & student directory
• Recruit volunteers
• Recruit community members and other volunteer organizations
• Assist in designing programming, days, times, rotations, etc.
• Assist in collecting both objective and subjective data
• Assist in purchasing supplies for programming
• Assist in providing lesson plans as needed for tutors and teachers
• Assist in purchasing healthy food for the HEP program
• Mentor and supervise the HEP Intern and any additional Interns we acquire
• Supervise all staff and support them in every way
• Fill in as a teacher as needed
• Tutor students 1:1 as time allows
• Mentor and Supervise all Counselors and Volunteers
• Supervise the building and surrounding area
• Maintain a cleanup chart for the end of each day and ensure completion
• Ensure the building is left clean, a/c is raised to 78 in hot weather or 65 in cold weather, locked and alarm set
• Take home dirty towels as needed to launder if necessary
• Bring to the attention of the PEP Executive Director and the Learning Resource Center Executive Director any problems that require intervention.
