Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Your primary duties will include evaluating work notifications, performing field inspections, developing job plans, ordering necessary parts for job kits, prioritizing and scheduling jobs according to site standards, coordinating with service providers for maintenance activities, facilitating routine planning and scheduling meetings, creating routine work schedules, evaluating job feedback to improve job plans, planning and coordinating steam and electrical outages, acting as liaison between maintenance and collaborators, and preparing reports as required.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Journeyman level or higher
- 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Journeyman
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical trades
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment to maintain a pharmaceutical production plant
- Ability to understand and mitigate safety hazards i.e., LOTO, line breaking, hot work, etc.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations needed for estimating and purchasing
- Able to interpret PID’s, electrical schematics, and architectural drawings
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, operators, craftsmen, contractors, and management
- Proficient in common software applications such as, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Associates degree
- 5 – 10 year’s Maintenance planning experience
- Competent in SAP
- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling certification or formal training
- Coupa and electronic document management experience
- Software Planning tools experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, fans, pumps, piping, boilers, electrical distribution and controls, USP water generation and their components
- General Reliability and physical asset management knowledge
