Required Skills:- Experience in report writing using Report Studio 10.x, Work Space, and Work Space Advanced.
- End-to-end report design expertise from requirements gathering through published reports.
- Experience in gathering requirements from end users, specifying data fields and formulas, and performing analysis to determine task effort.
- Experience designing a variety of products such as dashboards, scorecards, drill-through reports, data cubes, ad hoc queries, interactive visualizations, and models for predictive analytics.
- Several years of applied knowledge in dimensional data modeling concepts, preferably with a Kimball approach.
- Enterprise-level database experience such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2.
- Proven analysis, design, development, and testing skills.
- Good time management skills with an understanding of project management concepts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to communicate highly technical information to non-technical and technical users.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with written and verbal English language proficiency.
- Knowledge of and experience with public reporting requirements especially state government reports for federal requirements.
- Experience using additional business intelligence reporting tools such as: Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Experience with OLAP technologies.
- Demonstrated talent in aesthetics, user experience, and visual design.
- Experience training and mentoring other Cognos report designers and developers.
