We are seeking a highly motivated (early career) Satellite Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and data interpretation. You will play a crucial role in processing, analyzing, and interpreting satellite data to support national and international research projects, commercial consulting services and the development of data analytic platforms.

You will:

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to integrate satellite data into various applications and projects.
• Process and analyze imagery from various satellite instruments using specialized software and tools.
• Develop algorithms and models to extract information from satellite data for applications in the sectors of clean energy, forestry, nature-based solutions
• Interpret and visualize geospatial data to support decision-making processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and methodologies.
• Prepare sophisticated reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Represent RSS in national and international forums on technical solutions and provide consultancy services for international development cooperation.

You have:

• Master degree in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Geospatial Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• In-depth experience in remote sensing and GIS software as well familiarity with various types of satellite sensors and their applications.
• Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and modeling.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to remote sensing data are an asset.
• Good communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
