Data Processing Manager - VARIABLE DATA PROGRAMMER: In the Mailing and Printing Industry

Summary:Variable Data Programmer (VDP) processes mailing data and programs for output on digital presses. Individuals must be self- motivated and be capable of finding and correcting problems as necessary, be very detailed and quality-oriented, and able to work well with team members to achieve customer demands. This position will play an integral role in designing, modifying, developing, and implementing digital output to ensure that we are optimizing all workflows for efficient production to meet our customer and internal needs.

Responsibilities & Duties:Analyze, develop, test, and implement complex variable programs and scripts along with workflow/automation solutions based on customer-specific rules and requirements. Responsible for the creation and upkeep of all related documentation Document all programming tasks and procedures and update any Standard Operating Procedures as required. Review and implement changes for current programs and perform testing with proper sign offs and approvals following company policies and standard operating procedures. Ensure that all work performed follows quality control protocols to ensure meeting established company and department standards. Keeping themselves updated with the latest information and training on key software and file manipulation tools. Work independently with minimal supervision and ensuring that deadlines are met. Work closely with key personnel that include but not limited to, Account Managers, Production Staff, Finance and Accounting, Qualified Third-Party Vendors. Troubleshoot and fix file issues, including alignment, color, exposure, clarity, grain and other image and typography problems, as well as manipulating for bleed and binding. Create proofs for client or design team review, making needed adjustments in response to feedback, then meticulously creating new proofs until final design is approved. Double-check proofs for quality, including clarity and alignment, before beginning a print run Convert approved image files for use with digital printing equipment.

Common Software Used DailyBCC-Postal Software, Anchor Software Suite, Microsoft 365, Adobe Suite,Solimar -imposition,Firey RIP, Anchors Max Print-variable letter setupDesired & Required Skills:2 years of experience required but 5plus years would be ideal in data processing, document composition for digital output. Print, Mail and Workflow experience. Knowledge and experience using document composition tools. Ability to handle and keep track of multitude of projects at any one time. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills with a sense of urgency. Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of data formats including XLSX, DAT, DBF, CSV. Knowledge of design software such as Adobe lnDesign, XMPie, Pitstop would be a plus. USPS Postal Regulations and Guidelines desired. Excellent communication and time management skills. Printing/Direct Marketing, Mail, or Manufacturing experience.

Education/ Additional Software Knowledge:2 years industry work experience. Office 365 - Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook BCC Postal Software experience preferred., variable lettersetup in maxprint Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred,

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
