Job Description
Graphic Designer, Production Artist: Remote, work from home 100% - Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:30 Full-Time, Contract W2 (corp to corp not being considered at this time) $28.00-31.50
Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading copy development for Store Brands Packaging and collateral materials including product refreshes and new brand naming and development. The Designer will also be responsible for managing and tracking all copy projects.
Duties: Create and manipulate graphics and text through Adobe Creative Suite apps such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. Apply requested edits to existing materials. Format graphics as well as collect, process and proof various graphics files. Assist teams in producing digital and print-ready materials. Assess project specifics and create a final product that adheres to those requirements. Review and proof materials before the product is marked as complete. Ensure projects progress in a timely manner. Plan and monitor projects and tasks to meet or exceed expectations. Maintain an updated project list of all copy jobs, statuses and deadlines from start to end, prioritize projects and effectively manage workflow. Promote cooperation and good working relationships among team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial/Graphic/Interactive Design, Fine arts or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years related experience in advertising or marketing
- Able to use Adobe CS4 Software including Illustrator and In Design
- Solid background in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing projects preferred
- Must have an understanding of typography and design
- Must be well organized and able to communicate ideas with team members Must be able to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment, and manage multiple projects from start to finish
- Must have solid proofreading and editing skills to ensure accuracy of advertising materials
Education: Bachelors degree in Industrial/Graphic/Interactive Design, Fine arts or equivalent work experience, preferred Minimum verifiable High School diploma or GED required
