ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION TO BE TRAINED TO PROMOTE WITHIN

Affiliated Fire Systems, Inc. is searching for an ASSISTANT FIRE ALARM SYSTEM INSPECTOR for our commercial fire alarm company. For this entry-level position, Affiliated is looking for a responsible, professional & courteous individual with an excellent attitude and a desire for advancement.

The assistant fire alarm inspector will be working together with a lead inspector in providing comprehensive testing & inspection of conventional and computer-based fire alarm systems for our customers throughout the Chicagoland area. Our customers consist of hospitals, high-rises, hotels, office buildings, colleges, school districts, etc. Affiliated will be looking to advance from this position the most capable, ambitious, and professional individuals. There will be a potential for overtime hours paid at time and a half over 40 hours.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to comprehend and follow verbal instructions
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and directives
• Must be able to complete paperwork neatly and accurately
• Must be able to carry and move equipment /tools weighing up to 75lbs
• Must be able to work on ladders and occasional lifts
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements
• Must be able to have the flexibility of work hours to include overtime and the possibility of weekend hours
• Must always be punctual to all appointments
• Must be eligible to obtain a PERC card (Permanent Employee Registration Card) in which AFFILIATED WILL PAY FOR THE ENTIRE PROCESS including the time needed to accomplish the process.
• Must have reliable transportation until promoted to lead inspector at which point employee will be provided an all-expenses-paid company vehicle 365/24/7
• An electronics background is helpful but not necessary

On-the-job training will be provided along with online classes.
