We are currently seeking individuals for a Part-time Criminal Defense Investigator position. The criminal defense investigator collects evidence for a defense attorney to use when they represent their client with criminal or post-conviction matters. Your duties may include interviewing witnesses, collecting background information, obtaining signed sworn statements, and checking the facts in police reports regarding the crime.
Your responsibilities often include testifying about your investigation at the trial or hearing. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of complex, multi-tasked investigative experience. A strong work ethic, self-motivated, and good communication skills. In addition, the candidate must be able to work independently and have strong problem-solving and time-management skills. Flexible hours are a must, including early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and evening hours. Criminal Justice Degree is preferred. Candidates MUST have the following:
