Credit and Collections Manager jobs in Virginia

TruEnergy Federal Credit Union, a $130 million-dollar Credit Union located in Springfield, Virginia, is looking for an experienced Collections Manager to direct and lead all collection efforts for the credit union. This position is responsible for taking the necessary action to minimize delinquency and charge-offs, maximize recoveries, while serving the credit union and its members. The Collections Manager will ensure collections activities are in compliance with state and federal credit and collection rules and regulations, along with TEFCU’s policies and procedures. The Collections Manager will coordinate the collections activities with third party vendors, members and internal staff.

This position requires the chosen applicant to possess strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and the ability to represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner.

HYBRID**This position has a hybrid work arrangement that gives you the opportunity to work remotely occasionally, or according to an established schedule determined by your manager.

Requirements:

- BA/BS degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

- Minimum seven (7) years financial institution experience including working with consumer loan collections and delinquencies.

- College coursework in Business and/or Finance preferred.

- Extensive knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act helpful but not necessary.

- Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.

- PC proficient in Microsoft Office

- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.
