Being a Court Reporter has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. The First Judicial District is seeking applicants for an Official Stenographic Court Reporter for the Honorable Richelle Wahi. Judge Wahi is chambered in Dakota County in Hastings, MN. In-person, hybrid, or remote options (at the applicant's request) will be considered for this position. This position is required to provide RealTime of all court proceedings for the judge. A RealTime certified Court Reporter for this position that provides RealTime services is eligible to receive an additional payment of up to $2,000 per year, pro-rated by month for the time the service is performed.
Court Reporters have the opportunity to capture and preserve the court record while serving the public in a professional capacity through the administration of justice. The First Judicial District operates on a daily calendar system, providing employees the opportunity to be assigned throughout the district and to report many different types of court proceedings. The First District consists of seven southern metro counties including Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott, and Sibley.
