Virtual Counselor is an Online Group Therapy Practice Specializing in Supporting Teens, Young Adults, Students, K-12 Cyber Schools, and College Partnerships.
- Since 2013, we have provided over 60,000 online counseling sessions and continue to expand nationwide. We are looking for fully licensed professionals (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or current Pennsylvania Elementary and Secondary School Counselor certificate holders, to join our diverse network of national clinicians. This is a remote-only position in which independent contractors can be hired to work in one or multiple areas of programming.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS:
- The clinician must be fully licensed in the state of hire (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) or hold a valid Pennsylvania Elementary and Secondary School Counselor certificate
- Must have liability insurance.
- Clinicians will work from home in a HIPAA secure space.
- Computer and webcam supplied by the clinician with high-speed internet access.
- Training in Telehealth Best Practices

K-12 SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM: Our school Counseling Team is dedicated to partnering with School Administration to provide comprehensive telehealth services in unison with student educational goals. Virtual counseling is offered in the form of weekly individual, group, and parent training as a Special Education Related Service. In addition to direct service time, clinicians will be responsible for completing progress notes, goal plans, monthly paperwork, quarterly progress reports, and other applicable paperwork. This is considered a collaborative role in which clinicians are an extension of the school's IEP team. All referrals for this role are provided directly by Virtual Counselor and our partnering schools.
Specific Qualifications for K-12 Applicants:
- School Experience: Familiarity with School-Based Services, Special Education, and IEP/504 plans.
- Clearances: Updated clearances within one year. (FBI, Child Abuse, State Police) and other clearance as requested (Act24, 168)
- Availability: School-based schedule during approved hours. Generally, 9 am-6 pm. It is necessary that the clinician have some daytime availability to fulfill this role. Summer hours are offered on a limited basis.
- Caseload: Preferred 10 students. Caseloads can build to a preferred number of 25 . We cannot guarantee a specific number of referrals.
