Overview
VTG is seeking a Cost Analyst to provide support services to the Program Management Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture (PM AMSA) office at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
PM AMSA is responsible for the comprehensive life cycle management of the Army’s aviation enabler products. PM-AMSA manages multiple phases of acquisition, development, production, modification, recapitalization, sustainment, and foreign military sales for the PM-AMSA product lines. PM-AMSA has a continuing need for logistics support with regard to the life cycle management of PM-AMSA products to include: Tactical and Non-Tactical Air Traffic Control (ATC), Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), Communication Systems (COMMS), Navigation (NAV), Surveillance products, and information management systems and knowledge asset management activities.
What will you do?
- Provide cost estimating advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives.
- Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals.
- Develop life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program. Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models.
- Support the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates and provided Army Cost Experience Expertise to the Product Office in the execution of their Mission.
- Support the development of Army Program Office key deliverables that include financial data.
Do you have what it takes?
Minimum Requirements:
- Headquarters Staff experience or similar DoD Program/Project Offices.
- Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition process and procurement regulations.
- Collection and analysis of information to assess cost, schedule, and performance associated with risk identification and risk management activities.
- Experience using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT).
- Candidate shall have advanced knowledge and experience in Army logistics and project management and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel.
- Minimum Education and Experience is a BA/BS degree and five years of experience in Cost Analysis in DoD programs.
- High School and eleven years of directly related experience in Cost Analysis.
Preferred Requirements:
- Five years’ experience with Army PEO Aviation products cost analysis.
- Army Cost Analysis experience.
- FMS Cost Analysis experience.
Travel: Travel 15%
