    The individual in this role will be responsible for assisting the Buyers to ensure materials required for production of Monarch products are acquired in the way that best supports the manufacturing Build Plan.

    Previous Education/Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Two years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
    • Two years’ experience with electronic components, devices and electro-mechanical assemblies
    • Two years administrative experience
    • A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Experience with MRP systems desired
    • A high level of computer literacy required, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Job Responsibilities (E=Essential Function)

    The duties and responsibilities of the Junior Buyer include, but are not limited to the following:

    E: Evaluate Purchase Requests to ensure proper procedures are followed and documentation is in place.

    E: Negotiate with vendors to meet requirements and to achieve supply objectives as may be required.

    E: Enter and process Purchase Orders in our Sage ERP system.

    E: Research and place purchase orders for maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supply items

    E: Research and place purchase orders for production tools and equipment, as well as for calibration of internal test and programming equipment

    E: Communicate with suppliers for problem resolution and returns authorization in a highly responsive, pro-active and professional manner.

    E: As directed, release work orders to satisfy build requirements within the monthly build plan.

    E: Perform electronic inventory data transactions to maintain proper inventory accountability.

    · Other duties as assigned.
