Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Overview:
The main objective of being a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Performance Master Coil is to use ensure the correct material is safely located and loaded onto a truck to be shipped to the end user. This position will require strong multitasking skills, experience operating a forklift, and overhead crane. In addition to shipping material, you will also receive in material and supplies. While in this position the associate will gain exposure to steel coil processing.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Responsible for locating specified material to be shipped out of our facility.
· Prepare shipping documents, i.e. bill of ladings, material pick lists, receiving documents.
· Ensure material is loaded on trucks per customer specifications/loading instructions.
· Responsible for organizing paperwork from shipping office to front office.
· Communicate non-compliance problems to supervisor.
· Keep shipping office clean and orderly
Qualifications
· Experience operating a forklift.
· Experience operating an overhead crane.
· Ability to move or lift 50lbs.
· Previous experience in steel processing is a plus.
· Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring devices (calipers, micrometer)
· Be able to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to work unscheduled/scheduled overtime.
· Basic computer knowledge.
· Experience with an ERP computer system (Enmark is a plus).
