Job Description

D&B Construction is looking for a Sr. Superintendent to join our team! The Sr. Superintendent is responsible for daily scheduling, supervision of all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the job site. The Senior Superintendent is the lead for managing jobsite safety, quality control, and is the liaison with the architect and consultants on all field and constructability issues. This position will be based on the jobsite in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the on-site construction team and oversee all construction activities
• Host and attend on-site construction meetings
• Manage and update the project timeline to ensure contractual deadlines are met
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Project Managers, consultants/architects/engineers, trade partners, adjacent community
• Oversee jobsite mobilization, set-up and logistics
• Supervise on-site safety compliance, develop emergency action plan, complete safety inspections and forms and ensure cleanliness and orderliness on the jobsite
• Work collaboratively with Project managers, project team members.
• Monitor and coordinate trade partners and ensure quality standards are met
• Review project documents for constructability and content
• Coordinate building inspections and agencies
• Perform daily site walks and maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs
• Take meeting minutes, upload photographs and update project schedules
• Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals
• Manage manpower, performance, workmanship and productivity
• Use project management and scheduling software effectively
• Maintain client satisfaction and represent D&B Construction in a professional manner
• Develop and mentor field team members while effectively managing overall team
• Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned or needed including participating in committees and executing boulder initiative projects
• Monitor, manage, check, and record deliveries and on-site inventory
  
  

Competencies:

• Solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work
• Ability to lead a team of trade partners and field carpenters
• Proficiency with taking and uploading digital photographs
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Ability to effectively navigate ProCore, MS Project, Zoom and MS Office Suite
  
  

Requirements:

• 15 Years’ Experience in construction as a Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent role
• OSHA 30
• Valid Driver’s License
