Job Summary:
PIERPOINTE Behavior Analysts of Connecticut, LLC is looking for a dedicated pediatric LMFT, LCSW or LPC to join our team! As a part of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a wonderful team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. We aim to help children and young adults on the Autism Spectrum.
The ideal LMFT, LCSW or LPC to join our growing team will assist in conducting diagnostic evaluations and guiding our families to community based resources. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum. Extensive knowledge of the ADOS 2 and CARS-2 assessment tools
Experience:
- Working in collaboration with BCBA, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to facilitate the optimum intervention plan and constant communication and dynamic assessment regarding best practices for the individual child
- Completing client diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Providing parent/caregiver education with grace and empathy
- Assessing patients and monitoring their progress.
- Coordinating a child's care with other healthcare professionals.
- Completing evaluations in a timely manner according to company policy.
- Organized, highly motivated, and proficient in record keeping.
- Must have experience in using ADOS Assessment and CARS-2
- Must work well in multidisciplinary team environment.
- Must possess skills to work collaboratively with community providers and agencies.
- Must possess strong evaluation, diagnosis, and clinical treatment skills.
- Attends clinical Team Meeting
- Maintain awareness within discipline about new developments in the field
- Gather information about community mental health needs or resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy.
Must hold a valid LPC, CSW, or LMFT license
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations
- Strong background in providing social group therapy
- Knowledge of special education practices and resources
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health
Job Requirements:
- LPC or LCSW
- CT state license to practice.
- 1 year pediatric experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, patience, and empathy.
