We are seeking a skilled and reliable Residential Concrete Finisher to join our team at Hollingshead Concrete. The ideal candidate will specialize in finishing surfaces of poured concrete, such as slabs, driveways, sidewalks, and curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. This position requires precision and the ability to work as part of a team to achieve high-quality finishes that meet or exceed homeowners' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set the forms that hold concrete in place, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch.
- Pour, spread, smooth, and finish concrete for structures such as floors, stairs, sidewalks, driveways, and patios.
- Apply surface finishes to concrete to imitate various materials or designs, ensuring aesthetic and functional requirements are met.
- Monitor the effects of the weather on the curing process and adjust work methods accordingly.
- Use tools such as floats, trowels, and screeds to compact and smooth the surface of the concrete, and to mold expansion joints and edges.
- Estimate concrete quantities, appropriate mixes, and job completion times.
- Work with contractors or homeowners to understand project specifications and preferences.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a concrete finisher or in a similar role in residential construction.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing and pouring techniques.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment used for concrete finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Strong physical condition and endurance to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in concrete finishing is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
