What you will be doing as the Drafter/Sr. Drafter:
- Review architectural and structural drawings, interpret project scope documents, and apply basic engineering, math, and architectural principles to generate shop and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Assist in the design of building envelopes, fenestration, and other interior and exterior architectural elements including but not limited to unitized curtain walls, entrances, punched windows, coping and interior partitions.
- Revise redlined drawings and support Production Control and Shop personnel during the manufacturing of designed assemblies and components.
- Reads and interprets architectural and structural drawings and other project documentation. Applies information to project assignments.
- Incorporates basic engineering and architectural principles to different types of structures (e.g., poured concrete, steel, etc.).
- Applies basic math principles (e.g., fractions, decimals etc.) as required.
- Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Design and Drafting or related field (or within 3 months of completing degree – degree must be completed) OR a minimum of 2 years’ drafting experience
- Expresses thoughts, ideas and technical information clearly both verbally and in writing
- Well-developed drafting and mechanical drawing skills
- Works well under the pressure of time constraints and changing expectations
- Experience with 2D AutoCAD (preferred) or similar software
- Revit or Inventor software experience preferred
- Experience with Redline work is required
- Minimal travel required
- May be required to drive company and/or personal vehicle to conduct company business
