Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     OVERVIEW:

    Reporting to the Head of Global Total Rewards, the Director of Compensation is responsible for leading our organization's compensation strategy, design, planning, and administration. This role plays a key role in ensuring our pay practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compensation management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to design and implement effective compensation programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

    LOCATION: Needham, MA - Hybrid

    • Develop and advance the SharkNinja compensation strategy that is committed to providing a modern, competitive and equitable program that will attract, retain and reward high-performing associates at all levels.
    • Lead projects to support the implementation and standardization of compensation best practices to enhance organization effectiveness.
    • Accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate managers and associates on pay decisions, policy, and practices.
    • Stays current on legislation, trends, marketplace changes, and advances and make recommendations to ensure competitiveness and compliance in all relevant markets.
    • Create short/long-term retention strategies and compelling offers to attract and retain top talent.
    • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and equity incentives.
    • Contribute to preparation of Compensation Committee materials for board meetings.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure our compensation practices are competitive and comply with current laws and regulations.
    • Manage salary structures, job classifications, job architecture governance framework and compensation cycles.
    • Provide expert advice on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
    • Oversee the participation in compensation surveys and analyze survey data to benchmark compensation practices.
    • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to ensure transparency and understanding of compensation practices across the organization.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of compensation professionals.
    • Be a proactive and results-oriented leader that is able to translate vision into action and effective execution.

    ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
    • A minimum of seven years of progressively more responsible experience in the design and administration of global compensation programs.
    • Outstanding organizational, communication (verbal / presentation / written), and interpersonal skills with track record of partnering with and presenting to senior management.
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Public company experience required, with exposure to executive compensation a plus.
