Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We are looking for a Director of Global Compensation who will: Strategic Planning and Leadership Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive global compensation strategy that supports the organization’s business goals objectives and competitive positioning. Provide strategic direction and guidance on compensation-related matters to HR leadership and Executive management. Act as a trusted advisor with leadership, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to align compensation strategies with business needs utilizing a customer-focused approach. Compensation Program Design and Management Design and manage innovative and competitive global compensation programs including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity and compensation allowing for flexibility to meet business needs. Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive pay, global internal consistency and corporate governance. Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of the company’s stock compensation programs. Assist with the administration of executive compensation programs. Compensation Analysis and Reporting Conduct regular compensation reviews and analyses to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. Prepare and present reports on compensation trends, practices, and program effectiveness to senior leadership. Manage the development and maintenance of compensation-related data, systems, and tools. Compliance and Governance Ensure all compensation programs comply with local, state, federal, and international regulations. Develop and maintain compensation policies and procedures. Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and competitiveness. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of compensation professionals, providing guidance and support for their development. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of compensation programs with business needs. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on compensation-related matters. Manager and Employee Education Develop and deliver communication plans to educate employees on compensation programs and processes Provide training and support to HR Business Partners and Managers on compensation-related topics Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who: Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience with executive and stock compensation programs. In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices, trends, and regulatory requirements. M&A integration experience preferred. Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. Strong analytical skills and experience with compensation analytics and reporting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
