Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Community Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Schedule: Full-Time, Typically Monday-Friday (NOTE: Schedule may change depending on need. Pharmacy is typically open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.)

    • Provides high quality customer service to our patients by demonstrating respect, kindness, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
    • Provides direct support to pharmacists in the preparation, organization, and dispensing of medications.
    • Maintains pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and placing/expediting orders as appropriate.
    • Performs pharmacy cashier functions, collecting and reconciling payment for prescriptions and pharmacy merchandise.
    • Assists in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
    • Engages and supports patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
    • Collaborates with pharmacy and practice teams to improve the patient experience and clinic processes.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician required
    • Registered with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician required
    • Having a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes is required. Any concerns raised by the results of a driving record check will be subject to an individualized review to determine whether the infraction is relevant to the individual’s ability to perform the responsibilities of the position in accordance with PCHC’s Automobile Safety and Background Check Policy.
