Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The JCA is currently hiring for a full-time Development Associate position. We are looking for someone who is skilled, proactive, and passionate to join our growing and vibrant community.
The J is the town square of Jewish life in Southern Maine. Guided by values rooted in Jewish tradition, we are open to all people of all ages. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work remotely a maximum of twice per week. Working hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Requires occasional in-person work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Key Position Responsibilities Include:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands and arms to operate a computer and answer phones. The employee needs to regularly use senses of sight and hearing. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and assist in the set up and break down for events.
Salary and Benefits:
$50,000-$55,000. The Jewish Community Alliance is a 20,000-square-foot facility built in 2017. With hundreds of members and thousands of clients and visitors each year, the J is open to all in Southern Maine. We offer a robust schedule of events ranging from Arts & Culture to Wellness to Children & Family. Our preschool serves children from six weeks to pre-K. Additionally, we offer after-school care for elementary-aged children and serve over 300 campers per summer at Center Day Camp in Windham. Through Jewish Family Services, we run a Diaper bank and operate as a HIAS affiliate, welcoming and resettling over 150 refugees per year.
