Communications Director directs an organization's internal and external communications strategies and programs. Directs and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. Being a Communications Director may conduct market or public opinion research to assess program outcomes. Suggests promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsels top management on effective communication strategies. Additionally, Communications Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Communications Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position Description
Serve as a key member of the ATI Business Development and Communications Department in leading the development, coordination, and dissemination of corporate communications and marketing strategies that align with company objectives as they relate to business development. Lead team of communicators and graphic artists in devising the integrated and synergized corporate communications and marketing strategy that keeps ATI in the forefront of the Consortium Management marketplace.
Essential Functions:
At the direction of the Department VP, lead the development and execution of the strategic communications and marketing strategies and campaigns.
Establish a high level of knowledge of ATI’s vision, strategic priorities, people, capabilities, and our core industry needs.
Become the strategic communications and marketing thought leader for the company and drive concepts and campaigns that further those initiatives.
Develop internal/external strategic communications to include press-releases, presentations, tradeshow presence, and other tools to ensure appropriate messaging and brand strategy are effectively executed.
Track the effectiveness of content to support marketing and business development objectives.
Supervise the ongoing support to the programs across the company to include all manner of collateral design and content creation (i.e., brochures, presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, etc.).
Support the preparation of proposals and related content and tools (concepts, graphics, logos, etc.), providing the editing function as needed in support of proposal development.
Support the corporate strategy function as it relates to strategic communications and marketing.
Act as the primary corporate point of contact for media inquiries, public relations messages, and engagements.
