Tehama Tire Service, one of the oldest commercial tire dealers in northern California, is looking for a Commercial Tire Retread Technician for its retread plant in Red Bluff, CA. With 8 commercial truck tire service centers, a retread plant, and a centralized distribution center, we provide service to small local fleets, large national accounts, government entities, public utilities, and many more.

Tehama Tire is an employee-owned company founded in Red Bluff, CA in 1973. The Commercial Tire Retread technician is also eligible for overtime compensation when the retread plant is very busy.

About the Position

• This position functions in a manufacturing environment where commercial truck tires are retreaded using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, but also needs to be a self-starter willing to work without direct supervision.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
• Ability to pass a standard pre-employment drug test
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous truck tire experience (preferred, but not required)
• Mechanical aptitude

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Position also requires candidate to be available to work a limited amount of overtime when the retread plant is very busy
