Commercial Credit Analyst jobs in South Carolina

Commercial Credit Analyst collects, reviews, and analyzes data to prepare a detailed credit analysis that evaluates the terms and creditworthiness of commercial loan applications. Uses multiple sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis, to assign risk ratings to loans and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Being a Commercial Credit Analyst calculates debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to evaluate an applicant's ability to repay the loan. Prepares credit memos in a standardized format that includes key ratios, supporting information, an executive summary, and objective recommendations. Additionally, Commercial Credit Analyst presents credit reports to loan officers and loan committees. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Credit Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Duties & Responsibilities

    Responsible for the quality of processing business and commercial loans including post approval, closing/origination, and portfolio maintenance.

    • Create and review all applicable documents pre- and post-closing to ensure document quality and the security of REV in the transaction.
    • Arranges loan files to ensure proper documentation is archived, complete, and organized.
    • Ensures proper lien perfection for commercial loan collateral.
    • Closes loans in compliance with all approval criterion.
    • Funds and books business and commercial loans properly and accurately.
    • Assists in the creation and servicing of participation loans.
    • Assists in ongoing loan maintenance which includes tracking insurance, property taxes, etc.
    • Coordinates with lenders, members, and external vendors to collect and prepare all required documentation for closings.

    Responsible for following the processes and procedures associated with business deposit accounts

    • Expected to maintain a high degree of accuracy in the direct opening of business deposit accounts.
    • Expected to provide support to internal partners, as needed.

    Responsible For Effectively Collaborating Internally To Drive Business Results

    • Partners directly with departmental leadership to assist in the preparation for exams, audits, and reviews.
    • Makes decisions rooted in the best interest of the membership of REV Federal Credit Union, the Business Solutions team, and the borrower.
    • Aids in the annual review of existing commercial loans as needed.
    • Responsible for providing feedback regarding process, procedure, and policy intended to increase efficiency and/or quality of work.

    Maintains effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and management.

    • Assists and serves branches and related departments as needed.
    • Keeps the departmental leadership informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
    • Completes reports, records, and other documentation as required.
    • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
    • Serves as a non-voting member of the Business Loan Committee.

    Completes continuing education on items necessary for success in the role:

    • Stays knowledgeable of all the requirements and processes to include bought and sold participation loans.
    • Develops and maintains familiarity with all loan policies and procedures for REV Federal Credit Union.
    • Develops and maintains knowledge of commercial lending requirements for REV Federal Credit Union.
    • Develops and maintains knowledge of business deposit requirements for REV Federal Credit Union.

    Complies with applicable regulations

    • Understands and complies with all NCUA, state, and other applicable regulations and guidelines.

    Responsible For Any Related Duties As Required Or Assigned

    • Stays abreast of changes in the commercial banking field.
