Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and personable Bar Server to join our team at Vye Cocktail Lounge. As a Bar Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests by taking and delivering drink orders, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role requires a strong work ethic, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take drink orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Engage with guests to ensure they have a positive experience and address any concerns or issues promptly.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Check identification to verify guests are of legal drinking age.
• Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glasses.
• Process payments and operate the cash register in accordance with cash handling procedures.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a bar or restaurant setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and serving.
• Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage preparation.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays of drinks or supplies.
• Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
