GAP Claims Adjuster

Reports to: GAP supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

The GAP Claims Department is responsible for administering MPP Company's GAP Debt Waiver Addendum and GAP Insurance Policy programs. These products are designed to assist customers in the event their vehicle is declared a total loss, but the insurance settlement is not enough to cover the loan balance owed on the vehicle.

The GAP Claims Adjuster receives and answers incoming calls to the department, reviews loan and insurance documentation, and processes claims to determine if the loan balance will be paid.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to handle up to 60 calls per day
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Must be punctual with solid attendance
• Computer literate with experience working with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong data entry/typing skills
• Time management and organized
• Excellent customer service skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Education:

• High school diploma
• Insurance background with compliance, or claims handling experience is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 44 per week
