Chief Nurse Anesthetist manages and schedules Nurse Anesthetists who plan, arrange and secure necessary anesthesia equipment. Aids Anesthesiologist in organizing courses of instruction for students, and partakes in resulting programs and demonstrations. Being a Chief Nurse Anesthetist prepares reports and compiles data dealing with specific anesthesia, drugs and techniques, and patients' reactions to them. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Chief Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     About the Facility/Location/Position Details

    Are you a CRNA looking for an exhilarating opportunity on the Eastern Shore of Maryland? Look no further! AMS is currently seeking a Chief CRNA to join our busy and orthopedic dominant ASC. This position offers a DREAM lifestyle, allowing you to have full practice autonomy and the authority to manage your schedule and shifts. We are looking for someone who desires to grow with the busy practice well into the future.


    There are 2/3 sites daily at this location with additional room to grow, providers personally perform cases without supervision or medical direction. The practice continues to grow monthly with a large, exclusive group of Orthopedic, Spine, Foot & Ankle and more select specialties, as the exclusive group to the area and local hospital. Regional skills are a plus, but the right candidate for this ASC can be trained as we are excitingly developing the CRNA practice! There is some flexibility in scheduling as well and we are open to additional FT options.
