Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides administrative oversight for the nuclear medical technology department of a hospital. Reviews, develops and implements technical policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Being a Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist supervises nuclear medicine technologists, and may perform the functions of a technologist as needed. Ensures proper usage, maintenance and updates of medical equipment. Additionally, Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires a bachelor's degree. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification. Typically requires Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certification. Typically reports to a director. The Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What You Will Do As a CDL Nuclear Technologist

    As a Nuclear Technologist, you will work alongside our Cardiac RN at our client facility. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the technologist is responsible for daily operations of the camera to obtain high quality images based on clinical protocols as directed by our on-site physicians. You will perform patient care during the scan as well as be responsible ordering patient doses for the clinic, maintaining the hot lab, ensuring that patient imaging and all clinical procedures are performed with high standards, while assuring compliance with all state, OSHA and other regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.

    Qualifications

    • Current and in good standing NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification
    • Ability to produce quality imaging with little supervision
    • Ability to pass background & drug screen
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and BLS
    • Valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance
