    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS) seeks its next Director of Enrollment Management to contribute to the mission and standards of the school as it enters a strategic time of rapid growth. The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented enrollment strategies and tactics that will position FASPS as the leader in bilingual education in Seattle. The Director will oversee all aspects of student recruitment, selection, enrollment, and retention and is part of the Director’s Team. They will play a key role in helping the school grow. The Director of Enrollment Management will be a warm, open, and skilled communicator and a data-driven, collaborative decision-maker. They will have the ability and willingness to toggle between big-picture vision and day-to-day execution. The Director will value building and maintaining excellent relationships with all school constituents and prospective families and will be able to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment. They are expected to maintain high professionalism and confidentiality while working with every member of the school community. This position reports directly to the Head of School.


    This is a full-time, 12-month position, with a competitive salary and benefits.


    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and implement a comprehensive enrollment strategic plan focused on expansion and retention. Responsible for meeting enrollment goals and working toward the growth of the program.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the enrollment office and assist the team in coordinating the enrollment process for all prospective families, including inquiries, visits, applications, and enrollment decisions.
    • Represent the School at PSIS, AGFAS, and other enrollment-specific events, school fairs, and workshops.
    • Work closely with the Directors Team to facilitate community engagement and coordinate events.
    • Engage students and families in each step of the enrollment process, ensuring excellent and individualized communication and personalized experiences, including interviews and tours.
    • Support the development and implementation of marketing and enrollment strategies in partnership with the Director of Marketing and Communication. Oversee the design of enrollment materials.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, consultants, and partner programs.
    • Evaluate the program continually and implement improvements to the enrollment process to increase efficiency and efficacy.
    • Oversee the re-enrollment of current students in close collaboration with school leadership and work closely with divisional leadership on retention-related issues.
    • Serve as the primary steward for new families and coordinate special programs for new families with the Director’s Team, Teachers, Administration, and Parents Committee.
    • Organize and administer the school’s tuition assistance program and budget in conjunction with the Head of School and Chief Financial Officer.
    • Use data analytics and research to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of enrollment efforts and tuition assistance, and establish, track, and adapt strategic progress toward enrollment goals. Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer on reporting and projections.
    • Build knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences and representing the school at various gatherings and conferences related to enrollment.
    • Attend and present at board meetings as needed.


    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.
    • At least five years of leadership and management experience, with related admission/enrollment or education experience at either an independent school or university setting.
    • Bilingual in French and English


    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
    • Knowledge of independent school enrollment process preferred.
    • Strong administrative and data management skills.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend recruiting or cultivation events.
    • Ability to travel between different campuses.
    • Ability to work effectively and relate well with colleagues, parents, students, and community members. Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain positive and constructive working relationships.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, be open-minded, and exhibit willingness to try new things.
    • Ability to manage data effectively using Microsoft Office products and databases.
    • Ability to create long-term and short-term strategic plans and projections. Ability to anticipate issues and offer solutions.
    • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills, and conduct meetings.
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
