Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with the chemically injured community, enhancing our outreach programs, and promoting our mission. Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage and support the chemically injured community.
-Organize and facilitate educational workshops, support groups, and advocacy events.
-Collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders to promote credible research on MCS.
-Manage and update CIIN’s social media platforms and website with relevant content and resources.
-Respond to inquiries from community members, providing information and support as needed.
-Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of outreach programs and identify areas for improvement.
-Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts to support CIIN’s initiatives.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in community outreach, advocacy, or a related field.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
-Passion for CIIN’s mission and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the chemically injured.
-Experience with social media management and content creation is a plus.
-Basic knowledge of multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) or a willingness to learn.
