Chemical Plant Operator jobs in Arizona

Job Purpose

Provide day-to-day support on the Compounding department and twin-screw extrusion execution of jobs in a timely manner. Continue to promote KAITEKI values creating and maintaining a positive work environment, which is conducive to a stable, growing and continually improving workforce.

Ensure a safe workplace efficient production processes, minimization of downtime, as well as a clean and orderly production area.

• Assist with equipment maintenance as directed.
• Responsible for the set up and operation of compounding machines.
• Report molding issues to supervisor.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace.
• Monitor daily running jobs for adherence to quality standards.
• Work closely with other team members to drive a lean manufacturing process.
• Work in a team environment to solve and improve process issues.
• Any other duties or tasks which may be assigned
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• Must have good mechanical aptitude.
• The ideal candidate is a motivated team player, with the ability to take on multiple tasks.
• Must be flexible and be a strong team player.
• Must be willing to learn a variety of machine type set-ups and troubleshooting.
• Expected to have exceptional attendance and be on time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Drive safety practices within the organization
• Must be flexible to work different shifts, if required.

The salary range for this position is $17 - $18. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
