    Position Overview

    The Cash Management Account Manager is responsible for actively managing a portfolio of cash management accounts and solidifying customer retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service. This individual will analyze accounts and identify opportunities to expand relationships. In addition, the Cash Management Account Manager contributes to the bank’s deposit growth through active participation in business development activities and generates additional fee income through analysis and negotiation of terms and conditions of cash management products and services.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Manages a portfolio of cash management accounts and develops relationships to achieve new business goals.
    • Maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to provide a contact and take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
    • Prepares and maintains accurate records of all customer service calls made and meetings held with present and prospective customers.
    • Assists customers in obtaining specialized services from other Bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
    • Effective utilization of the Customer Relationship Management program to track customer sales and service activities as well as cultivate prospective opportunities within the office’s market area.
    • Work closely with the Cash Management Sales Team, IT, Cash Management Operations Specialists, the Online Banking Department, Deposit Services and Finance, to respond to all customer needs.
    • Assists customers in their daily processes and with any questions or concerns they may have about their cash management products or services. Responds to client requests in a timely, competent and professional manner.
    • Shares information with others that may benefit from his/her expertise.
    • Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
    • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
    • Understands and can convey all details regarding account analysis, positive pay, ACH debit block and all other account/relationship services to client base from account setup to full production.
    • Assures that all applicable disclosures are discussed with clients to assure sufficient understanding. Assures that client application and specification documents are current and representative of client ownership, roles and acceptable user access.
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Bank commercial and retail products and services in order to ascertain customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.
    • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.

    Education & Qualifications

    • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required; specialized banking education and training.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ related experience normally required.

    Skill(s)

    Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; accounting basics knowledge; proficient interpersonal relationship and communication skills; outstanding customer service skills; proficient PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Excel; familiar with banking technology; strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills; an understanding of cash management services such as account analysis, sweep account processing, positive pay, lock box, commercial online banking, remote deposit capture, ACH and wire transfer processing and a strong understanding of commercial customer banking needs; must be familiar with current regulations surrounding the above listed services; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills; valid driver’s license is required and personal form of transportation is required to be able to travel to client sites as needed.
