Business Application Delivery Director directs and leads an organization's business application delivery department. Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. Being a Business Application Delivery Director enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Formulates business application architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Director establishes policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and support efficient operations. Leads and develops a team of business application delivery programmers with training in the best practices and technologies. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Manages resource planning and decision-making. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior/top management. The Business Application Delivery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Application Delivery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Senior Network Security Engineer - Secure Application Delivery will take on a leadership role in designing and implementing cutting-edge enterprise networks while providing crucial support to our networking practice. This is a client-facing role where the person would play both a pre-/post-sales role while performing as a technology professional.
This position requires an individual who is highly motivated, is a self-starter, and is team focused. The right individual has an in-depth knowledge of technical solutions and how they are deployed, is client-focused, and has excellent communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be experienced and passionate about web application protection and global server load balancing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications such as the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for clients.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of FortiADC and FortiWeb solutions.
- Design, implement and transition load balancing and secure delivery of applications to meet the needs of customers.
- Troubleshoots LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and firewalls including a broad range of devices (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.).
- Develop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts.
- Engage in peer review sessions to aid fellow engineers in optimizing the quality of their deliverables.
- Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents.
- Maintain up-to-date industry certifications.
