  • About The Role

    The Treasury Management Sales Officer is primarily responsible for the development of new Treasury Management business, product and service delivery, commercial deposit, and revenue generation for the Bank. They will be responsible for managing and growing the treasury management client portfolio. This position will use proactive management of the commercial lending and treasury management portfolio to identify growth potential through cross-sell of treasury and other bank products. This will be accomplished by research of competitive offerings, portfolio analysis, preparing presentations, performing account analysis, conducting demonstrations, and selling those solutions to the client.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Works closely with loan officers and other bank employees calling on existing and prospective business clients.

     

    Develops channels to prospect new Treasury Management clients and manage prospect pipeline.

     

    Calls on prospective customers to develop new Treasury Management relationships.

     

    Manages all deposit and treasury management related product development and service-related processes including, but not limited to account analysis, online and mobile banking, ACH origination, online wire transfers, positive pay, dynamic sweeps, and remote deposit capture.

     

    Calls on existing and prospective customers to offer the Commercial Credit Card product and explain the benefits.

     

    Provides employee and internal customer Treasury Management training, limited technical support, and facilities product demonstrations.

     

    Obtains new clients and expands existing relationships to increase core deposits and revenue.

     

    Provides consultative expertise to existing Treasury Management clients and prospects to determine their requirements and recommended solutions.

     

    Performs regular client follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction including yearly reviews with top clients.

     

    Creates and delivers sales presentations, explains services offered, and makes recommendations based on client needs.

     

    Provides leadership and management to Treasury Management team. Conducts regular coaching sessions with team members to review work performance, provides training/ mentoring, and develops/acknowledges performance in achieving goals. Conducts annual reviews and communicates results to team members.

     

    Works with other members of the Treasury Management team and senior management to understand market and industry knowledge to ensure competitive pricing and product offerings.

     

    Services new and existing accounts, monitors and assesses customer relationships to ensure proper servicing and identify growth opportunities.

     

    Collaborates with GBCI and other bank divisions on product development, pricing, policies, and procedural workflows.


    About You

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Six years of related experience, including work experience in a Treasury Management or other sales role.

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:

    • A Bachelor’s degree is required, or CTP or similar professional designation preferred.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
    • Must possess current valid driver’s license.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

     

    A significant level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports, and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, education, and/or advising others on matters of significance.

     

    Thorough knowledge of Treasury Management products/services and operations, as well as banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.

     

    Able to effectively manage a sales pipeline to manage to achieve sales goals.

     

    Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Skills in areas related to computer operation/use including working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new systems/applications.

     

    Communicate Effectively: both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Demonstrate soft phone skills by treating all internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

     

    Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

     

    Must be capable of up to 50% travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency.

     

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

     

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
