Excellent Client has an immediate need for a Benefits Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Monitor benefit costs, service provider fees, and periodically validate the accuracy of internal participant and benefit enrollment data
- Perform benefit reconciliations (e.g., 401k, medical and Rx claim funding, FSA, HSA, etc.)
- Identify new legislation that may affect benefits and assist with the implementation of required plan changes, amendments, etc.
- Assist with updates to annual electronic reenrollment tables in HRMS and company-wide open enrollment process
- Manage benefit vendor relationships and associated processes, data integrity, reporting, and interfaces
- Collaborate with HRIS Analyst to develop, test, and implement new plans, interfaces, reports, and changes to existing interfaces, etc.
- Gather and analyze relevant data and draft reports to comply with state-legislated benefits and responses to benefit appeals

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience
- PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, or other professional HR Certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of benefits experience, including involvement with health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and legislation, as well as HRM systems
- Strong analytical and accounting skills required for reconciliations, cost analysis, and drawing sound operational and financial conclusions, coupled with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; HRIS/PeopleSoft experience preferred
