Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, schedules banquet staff, arranges for facilities or equipment, and communicates customer needs to the appropriate personnel. Being a Banquet Manager develops and maintains banquet accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Banquet Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Banquet Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Club facilities include food & beverage outlets both casual and fine dining, luxurious meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art athletics facility featuring wellness programs and spa services. As Jonathan Beach Club Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of food and beverage service for members and guests. The Banquet manager will be tasked with working closely alongside the Banquet Director, Food and Beverage Manager and the Director of Food and Beverage to ensure member satisfaction. The candidate will be a part of the Food and Beverage team working all holidays including Sundays, club events, non-banquet events such as supporting the dining room and surf side grill. The candidate must have a great outgoing personality and be able to build a great rapport with our membership and bring a vibrant energy to the department in an upscale manner, while also being hands on.
