  • Essential Functions

    • Develop and Mentor FSA Tribal Members within your department.
    • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of always providing exceptional service.
    • Responsible for all banquet and catering operations within the property:
      • Coordinate and assist with all catering and banquet activities including set-up, service and break down according to the contracts.
      • Use extensive knowledge of competitive market and the property to price catering and

    banquets and quote costs, know room capacities, oversee set-up, food preparation, and food

    and beverage service and presentation, to ensuring flawless execution of events, to the customer?s satisfaction

      • Ensuring maximum efficiency and guest service for all catering and banquet functions.
      • Resolve issues and/or disputes applicable to banquet and catering events or service-related

    issues.

    • Participate in all banquet event order meetings, routinely checking the event calendars and communicating with the Catering Sales Manager.
    • Assist with the selection, evaluation and supervision of all catering and banquet operations? team members in accordance with the organizational structure.
    • Act as a role model for team members, fostering teamwork and good team member morale, motivation, and open communication.
    • Issue written and oral instructions, assigning duties, and examining work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
    • Create and coordinate schedules to ensure work demands are met for all catering and banquet operations.

    • Conduct routine training; fairly assess and evaluate team members to ensure job performance and that proper food and beverage service standards are being met; ensure all team members understand and are accountable for their area(s) of responsibility.
    • Assist Food and Beverage department by providing for the set-up of restaurant buffets and performing in other areas as needed when available.
    • Work effectively with peers, vendors, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
    • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential job functions.


    While performing job duties the team member may regularly be required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member may be required to stand for prolonged periods in confined spaces, work in extreme indoor or outdoor temperatures, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and push, pull or move up to 100 pounds with assistance from a hand truck and other team members. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


    The team member will be exposed to various foods and chemicals as well as latex. While performing job duties the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate, and there are fluctuations in lighting due to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.



    At a minimum, the selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug-screening test and obtain a gaming license. Following hire, the team member will be required to obtain a local food handler permit and an Oklahoma ABLE license.
