Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled individual to join our team as a Cake Decorator/Barista. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creating visually stunning cakes and beverages while adhering to strict dietary guidelines. They should be proficient in operating espresso machines, have a strong understanding of vegan and gluten-free diets, and be committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, ensuring attention to detail and creativity.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product recommendations and offering assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of vegan diets, gluten-free diets, celiac disease, and cross-contamination protocols.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as required.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to engage in well-rounded conversations with customers.
• Previous experience in cake decorating and/or barista roles preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to our specific processes and protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.

Training:
Candidates without prior experience in cake decorating or barista roles will undergo a comprehensive 5-day training program. This training will be unpaid but will provide valuable skills and knowledge necessary for success in the role.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
