Expectations: The Resort Vehicle Maintenance Technician is a part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of 100 vehicles in the paradise that is Kiawah Island. Maintain complete knowledge of resort and departmental standards. Be aware of correct use and maintenance of all equipment while Maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Climate controlled 2 Bay shop Tools, toolboxes, and safety equipment provided Company vehicle while on island Schedule Monday thru Friday 40 hours a week. Some Weekend time occasionally. Responsibilities: Pick up and drop off of company vehicles Inspects, maintains and identifies repairs using applicable industry standards, diagnosis equipment, and in accordance with manufacturer technical publications. Details vehicles to include washing and waxing and conducts minor body work and paint repairs. Completes other cleaning and maintenance/repair projects as assigned. All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications: Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License. CDL preferred Automotive shop experience required High School Diploma required Current ASE Certifications preferred but not Required Professional detailing experience/qualifications preferred MVAC certification and experience preferred Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift minimum weight of 75lbs. Capable of working long hours without sitting down. 75% - Standing during shift. 100% - Reaching, bending, lifting. Capable of working outdoors when needed Must be flexible when Emergency repairs arise and/or when weekend hours are needed Needs the ability to adapt to priority changes of work quickly and efficiently and must be a team player.
