Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • Job Summary:

    The Audiologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating hearing disorders. This includes providing comprehensive audiological services, such as hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings as well as other forms of diagnostic testing.. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and a collaborative approach to working with other healthcare professionals.

    The opportunity requires in person evaluations, working with a team of audiologists and will be located in the greater Richmond/Chesterfield / Henrico Virginia area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for patients of all ages.
    • Diagnose and manage hearing disorders, both sensorineural, conductive, and mixed hearing loss.
    • Fit, program, and dispense hearing aids and other implantable devices
    • Conduct newborn hearing screenings and pediatric audiological evaluations.
    • Perform electrophysiological tests, such as ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response) and OAE (Otoacoustic Emissions) and ECoG.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in audiology through continuous education and training.
    • Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote hearing health awareness.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctorates in Audiology (Au.D.) and Master's degree in Audiology will be considered
    • Virginia State licensure to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
