Associate Pastor jobs in Virginia

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pastor to join our church community and provide spiritual guidance and leadership. The Pastor will be responsible for leading worship services, providing pastoral care, and overseeing the overall spiritual growth and development of our congregation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of Christian teachings, and a passion for serving others.

Responsibilities:
- Lead worship services and deliver sermons that inspire and engage the congregation
- Provide pastoral visitations, and support during times of crisis or loss
- Mentor and guide individuals in their spiritual journey, offering guidance and support as needed
- Support the church ministry by collaborating with committees and attending Church Council meetings.
- Support, lead, and/or participate in Christian education classes to educate and empower individuals in their faith.

Skills:
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to deliver engaging sermons and teachings
- Excellent written communication skills for creating sermons, newsletters, and other written materials
- Patient and motivated
- Leadership abilities to guide and inspire church members towards spiritual growth
- Works and engages well with all ages
- Embodies 1Timothy teachings

Requirements:
- Ordained or licensed as a Pastor within a recognized Christian denomination
- Previous experience in pastoral ministry
- Strong understanding of Christian teachings and theology
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff members, volunteers, and community leaders

Pay: From $18,500.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
