Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for executing Nebraska Recycling Council 's mission, strategy, and operations with imagination and passion. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in the evolving field of resource management to effectively execute the core programs of the organization. The ED will coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget. The ED will foster a creative and collaborative team environment, open to a diversity of ideas in the pursuit of excellence. This person will have excellent financial management skills, persuasive written and verbal communication, exceptional interpersonal, and multidisciplinary project skills. An action-oriented, strategic, adaptable, and innovative approach to organizational planning is essential.
An advanced degree in business, public administration, or environmental focus with at least 5 years of senior management experience; or 4-year degree with a track record of effectively leading a performance- and outcomes-based organization with a similar mission is required. Supervisory experience is required. Grant management experience is preferred. Past success working with a Board of Directors and the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships is helpful.
