Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Expertise in Medicare requirements, insurance providers (e.g., Medicare rules PDPM, HMO rules: RUGS II & III, Medicare prescription plans), and EMR software systems.
• Profound knowledge of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and various insurance protocols.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Established relationships with New Jersey Hospitals.

Job Duties:

• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring and reporting operational issues, developing effective systems.
• Engage with the community, participating in events to enhance our facility's reputation and increase referrals.
• Provide a patient-centered approach, ensuring residents and families are well-informed and cared for.
• Foster strong relations with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to maintain a consistent influx of admissions.
• Verify financial information before admission, ensuring effective communication within the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes, staying current with CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance requirements.
• Compile monthly statistics and report them to the team for informed decision-making.
