Visiting positions are renewable up to three years based on performance and the needs of the College.

The teaching load per year is 8 courses or course-equivalents; course reassigned times are available to faculty as needs arise. Additional expectations include general service to the department, and candidates are supported in their scholarly research and professional pursuits. The Department and the College value excellence in teaching at the collegiate level and an interest in teaching and mentoring at a liberal arts college and the department offers majors in Communication Studies, Literary Studies, Creative Writing, and Screen Studies, with concentrations in Peace and Justice and Gender and Women’s Studies.
