Assistant, Controller jobs in Arkansas

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., overtime as needed.

Salary:  Will be commensurate on certifications, relevant experience, and years of experience.

Job Summary:  This position will work closely with the Corporate Controller in producing and managing financial statements, analyzing earnings and expenses, and managing accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization. Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.  Assist in managing all accounting functions, including payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger.  Will assist Corporate Controller with month & year-end close processes.  Ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting.  Will collaborate with departments to develop and monitor budget and communicate with external auditors.  Streamline financial process for efficiency and accuracy and assist with special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualification:

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
• Must possess Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in data analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Must read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience as a CPA
