Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager at Bookstore

Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about books and dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences? We're seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team and assist in managing books and customers, ensuring a delightful experience for all.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

As a customer-oriented professional, you'll:

• Assist shoppers in finding the right products, both in-store and online
• Sell books and handle in-store and online transactions
• Manage shipping logistics, including packaging orders for delivery
• Handle customer inquiries via phone calls and emails
• Maintain accurate inventory records and list books for sale
• Utilize antiquarian book knowledge to enhance customer interactions
• Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, getting along well with everyone
• Manage organization tasks, including special orders and inventory organization
• Create daily engaging social media posts

Required Qualifications:

• Previous retail experience is essential
• Knowledge of a wide variety of books
• Kindness, friendliness, and a customer-centric mindset
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable with basic computer tasks
• Willingness and desire to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
