Assistant Athletic Director, Compliance jobs in Rhode Island

The overall function of the Athletic Director is to plan, develop and supervise all activities related to the Athletic Program. All coaches', and supervisory personnel of athletic activities shall be directly responsible to the Athletic Director who in turn, shall be responsible to the principals.

• MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE NFHS COACH CERTIFICATE PROGRAM AS PRESCRIBED BY THE RIIL (ARTICLE 13)
• Have current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Certified Athletic Administrator certificate preferred. RAA REGISTERED ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR

15 % of Teachers Salary Scale

• CAA - AFTER 3 YRS. ON THE JOB
• Execute the athletic policies and guidelines established by PPSD School Board, Administration, and the RIIL.
• Promote an overall program of interscholastic athletics which is educationally sound and in harmony with other phases of the total educational program in Providence
• Take the responsibility for ordering, repairing, cleaning and storing all equipment within the limit of funds available.
• Prepare and administer a budget for the operation of the school's athletic program. Arrange for the preparation of facilities for contests.
• Submit eligibility lists from each principal to the league office.
• Make necessary arrangements for the transportation of all athletic teams. Maintain an inventory of all athletic equipment.
• Assist the principal in the supervision and evaluation of all coaches.
• Coordinate the supervision for home athletic contests and be responsible for crowd control.
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Principals and/or the Director of Operations

• Bachelor degree in education or related field preferred. *Principles of Coaching
• Psychology of Coaching
• Athletic Training (Prevention and care of athletic injuries)
• Bio-mechanics (Analysis and understanding of human movement)
• Previous playing and coaching experience preferred
• Dedication to the service of youth and ability to gain and hold the respect of coaches & athletes
• You must complete the new hire compliance training prior to your first day of employment
• Bilingual Preferred
• Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check. Selected candidates cannot begin work until passing their background check
