Position Overview

We are looking for a Hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to supervise staff and maintain inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items.

Responsibilities

• Effectively train, manage, and discipline staff as necessary. Communicate job expectations and enforce adherence to policies and procedures
• Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews;
• Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Resolve problems and identify warehouse system improvements
• Move inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse; coordinate inventory transfers with related departments
• Maintain storage area by organizing floor space while adhering to storage design principles. Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for production staff and customer traffic
• Maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts, reconciling variances, and inputting data
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program
• Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments
• Make sure all employees wear the proper safety equipment

Qualifications

• At least five years of warehouse supervisor experience
• Previous Supervisor experience
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
