Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    About DTMB:
    The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

    About this position:
    The employee will carry out a range of professional property analyst assignments while learning the methods, processes and procedures, and State of Michigan rules and statutory requirements related to all real estate transactions. This position assists with continued process development and improvement, projecting current and future space needs for our customer, revenue generation, and strategic planning. The person in this position will learn and serve as a department liaison and conduct agency partnership meetings for an assigned agency(s) to promote and improve customer service and enhance portfolio management practices to better serve the State of Michigan’s real estate portfolio.

    Position Location:
    This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

    Required Education and Experience

    Education
    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

    Property Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9
    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school. Experience Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification. OR Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification. OR Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification. OR One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

    Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
